Sure, others might say that developing a project schedule is more important, or that having a plan to check quality is important.
4. Detailed or Integrated Schedules – these schedules incorporate the time-frame, resources and activities from your work breakdown. These take more time to create but depending upon the project are often needed. You will need to use your judgment here. For example, if the project will take 1 week and it will take 3 days to create this type of schedule, you can certain the project does not need this. However, if the project is going to involve ten people working on items over five weeks, this level of planning may be worth the effort.
For example, if your project is to repaint the church community room you might decide that some key deliverables will be (a) Prepare Room, (b) Paint Room, (c) Inspect Room, and (d) Provide Updates to Executive Committee 3.
